The Fountainside is within easy strolling distance of the many restaurants in Hobart's fabulous waterfront precinct and the world famous Salamanca Market, historic Battery Point village, and it is also close to the Botanic Gardens and The Hobart Aquatic Centre.
A short drive from Fountainside is Mt. Wellington, the Cadbury Chocolate factory, Wrest Point Casino and the Domain Tennis Centre.
The airport is a simple 20 minute drive away from Fountainside Hobart.
Fountainside Hobart offers easy access to principles road routes throughout Tasmania putting all the State's main attractions within easy reach.
Head east for a day trip to Port Arthur a must for all visitors to Tasmania or the historic Richmond Village and Bonarong wildlife park. Travel further afield heading up the East coast of Tasmania to the iconic Coles Bay, Freycinet Peninsula and eventually the Bay of Fires.
South will take you to Mt Wellington and on to Kettering to board the ferry for Bruny Island. We recommend that you head down to the spectacular Huon Valley visting the Tahune Airwalk, Hastings caves and so much more that this beautiful part of Tasmania has to offer.
Heading north takes you through the pretty Derwent Valley, on to Mount Field National Park and for the more adveturous the Giant Trees of the Styx Valley all in a comfortable day out. Alternatively you can travel on to either Strahan in one direction or Launceston and Cradle Mountain in the other allowing you to continue to discover the beauty of Tasmania beyond the south and if it is time to leave our beautiful Island keep driving Devonport and the ferry for Melbourne.
To the west lies our world heritage wilderness where cars are, understandably, not welcome.
